French pharmacy Order

Recently made an order from Escentual as they have had a sale on all their French pharmaceutical treatles.
I purchased La Roche posay lipikar hand treatment and Avene Hydrance Optimale light protective SPF 20 face cream.
My hands have become very dry due to my work as a screen printer and nothing was working, they have been flacky and sore.If anything worked it was  Lush Handy Gurugu which is a good barrier cream but wanted to try something new,  this cream is my new fav.
Lightweight but still rich, paraben free it soaks in quickly and leaves my hands feeling normal again, the smell reminds me of my mum applying cream when I was younger.

Avene Hydrance face cream has two things I look for in a skin cream as I have combinational skin, oil free and an SPF.
It soaks in quickly and leaves my skin mattified and soft, I love the fact it has a high SPF as I think when choosing skincare this is the most important factor as you are protecting your skin from harmful rays and slowing down the wrinkles.
I haven't tried this moisturiser as a base for foundation yet but will let you know how it sits on my skin.

As far as French brands go I haven't tried one that hadn't been been good for my skin,  they tend to be more gentle and geared toward sensitive skin.
Go forth and try..🐻

First biKe ride Of spring :-D

Me and the John enjoyed our first bike ride in the English sunshine today and came across an amazing discovery. . A skull, not sure but think its some kind of deer maybe a muntjac, if anyone knows please comment below. Its skull was sitting just below its spine and then its leg bones just under, all bone no hair or flesh. Perfectly persevered in the grass, guessing a hit and run :-( .
The skull
We have bought it home and are going to clean it up and make it pretty, think Mexican day of the dead style..Will keep you all updated on its progess.
If anyone has any

The Amazingness oF Pat McGrath.

Ive been Obsessing over the greatness of makeup Artist Pat McGrath over the last few weeks, especially the work she did with Dior/John Galliano.
Ive always loved Gallianos designs, the aesthetics of his entire collections, the hair, clothes and the Makeup just takes you away to a whole other world.
In the last year Ive been getting more interested in the world of beauty and finding out about artists like Pat McGrath is a revelation, putting a name to the makeup looks Ive been fascinated by for alot of years is great and now looking through her catalogue of work is SUPER inspiring. I wanna go draw on peoples faces..!
Pat McGrath/Gallioano in all the glory. Some looks from the last few years <3

I'm looking forward to discovering more pieces and experimenting with some looks.

Dark liP for A spriNg day

Inspiration found on Pintrest ♥ this girls makeup. On the right the lovely Kat Dennings

Recently Ive been seeing alot of dark lip colours and lovig them. When I wear a lipstick it tends to be sheer or a classic red like Macs Russian Red but thought id dare a deeper pigment after watching a Pixiwoo youtube tutorial for Kat Dennings and felt inspired.
My finished look
So I used Mac Burnin' in amplified creme finish, unfortunately this colour has been discontinued but found that Darkside is quite a good dupe for it. Both lipsticks are fantastically glossy so very dramatic, I lined my lips with Mac Nightmoth to stop the colour bleeding. Ive found with this lipstick if I dont line it will look like ive been eating spoons of blackberry jam in a hurry.. Not a great look...:-D

Day out in Norwich

Day off work so decided to go visit the some sites in Norwich, the weather was so bleaugh we only went to the Castle but I saw lots of fun animals
Norwich Castle (it wasnt this sunny, forgot to take a pic of it)
I do love a good bit of taxidermy

Its a fun day out definitely worth a look if you have never been :-D

Morning Wakeup

Not what I want to see (not Winkle the cat by the way)
So I awake this morning to the sight of Winkle the Cat bringing us a bird and dropping it in the corner of the bedroom, I prod the boy to let him know the situation tells me to sort it (as usual, not a fan of birds inside)
I manage to get a towel over it and get it outside where it seems ok, if abit shaken. As u would be if you had been carried in someones mouth.
I dont get it the cat doesnt kill the birds (which is fantastic) but carries them around, maybe he needs a friend or a bag. A bag would definitely be less or a shocking sight at 7am dumped in our bedroom.
What I want to see, aww

My new skin treatle

I recently purchased Pixi Glow Tonic after reading a lot of very good things on various blogs mainly my go-to skin guru Caroline Hirons.
I've only been using it a week( in the evening) but so far my skin seems to be improving.
I have combination skin and have been feeling less oily since using it.
Over the last few months I've been trying to wear less foundation and after using the Glow tonic I've got more confident to go bare on my face.
If you can get hold of it I would defo recommended it, it has been selling out everywhere.
I bought mine direct from. http://www.pixibeauty.co.uk/glow-tonic
